La Città conosciuta per la fiorente attività di
Pesca oltre ad avere uno dei più importanti porti pescherecci
d'Italia con una flotta di oltre 300 imbarcazioni è spiccata
alla ribalta dopo il ritrovamento ad opera di Pescatori Locali
di una Statua alta circa 2 metri risalente al periodo Ellenico,
il Satiro Danzante che oggi possiamo
ammirare presso il Museo Regionale di Sant'Egidio.

town is known thanks to its flourishing fishing activity
and one of the most important fishing harbour of Italy with
a fleet of 300 boats. It is also famous for the finding
of the “Satiro Danzante”, a statue 2 metres
high of the Hellenic period, discovered by locals fishermen.
The statue is kept at the Regional Museum of Sant’Egidio. |
